At YouGo Physiotherapy, we believe in empowering not just our participants but also their support networks to ensure long-term success and improved quality of life. Our approach to “building up the capacity” enhances the skills, confidence, and knowledge of your formal and informal supports—such as caregivers, family members, and support workers—so they can better assist you in your daily life.

Our goal is to make sure your support team is equipped to help you achieve independence, manage your physical needs, and respond to challenges as they arise. By building the capacity of yourself or those around you, we ensure that the care you receive is both effective and sustainable.

Here’s how we do it:

Tailored Training

We provide personalised training sessions that are specific to your condition and needs. These sessions cover everything from safe manual handling techniques to supporting you in completing daily activities like mobility, transfers, personal care, and more.

Health and Wellbeing Education

Your caregivers and support workers will receive guidance on how to assist you in maintaining your general health and wellbeing. This includes advice on maintaining healthy routines, such as sleeping routines, managing stress, and regular check-ups for ongoing health conditions.

Exercise and Rehabilitation Support

We work with your support network to ensure they can assist with exercises that are part of your physiotherapy plan. This includes both land-based and water-based exercises, as well as gym routines aimed at building strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Through building up the capacity of you/ your support network, we aim to create an environment where you can live more independently and comfortably while also relieving some of the burden on those who assist you. This collaborative approach ensures continuity of care, helping you achieve your goals and improve your overall quality of life.
